August 20-23rd: Capoeira CDO Camarada e Batizado, Cordão de Ouro Capoeira, Des Moines, IA: Join Professores Xará and Pedro for their joint celebration of capoeira in Iowa. For more information, see www.littlebrazil.org.

August 23rd: 250K Kicks Fundraiser, Lake Ontario Beach Park, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Rochester, NY: An all day festival of mini-workshops, rodas, music, and thousands of kicks (of course!), to support our fund-raising activities. Please see our special website, www.250kicks.com, to learn more about our initiative to help at-risk youth here in Rochester by supporting Hillside Family Services and Capoeira Mandinga.

September 4 -5th: Workshops with Contra-Mestre Malandro, Capoeira Mandinga: Special visit from Contra-Mestre Malandro from Oakland, CA. Friday 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Saturday starting at 2:00pm until 5:00pm. $15 per workshop or $20 for both days.
