Eat Sleep Capoeira III (ESCIII) - We would like to thank everyone that attended ESCIII this year. It was great to train together for 28.5 hours in workshops and many rodas. Special thanks to everyone that worked hard to make this event possible.  

Hamilton College Workshop (October 20th) -CM Carcará traveled to Hamilton College to teach a workshop for members of its Capoeira club.

Darien Lake (September 23rd 2007) - This was the first of two perfomances for Darien Lake. It was a great chance to share capoeira with a diverse audience.

Youth Art Gallery Opening (August 25th 2007) - We recently performed a demonstration for the opening of the Youth Renaissance Art Gallery. It was another great opportunity we have had to be involved with the Rochester Community. Special thanks to Toreiro for setting up the performance.

Boulder Festival 2007 (July 27th, 28th & 29th) - Capoeira Mandinga Rochester recently had the opportunity to participate in the second annual Boulder Festival. The festival featured over 20 musicians and many booths with local artists. With our booth and performances, we generated many discussions about capoeira in the community. Thanks to everyone who helped out with this event, and hope to see more of you next year!

Special Training #3

October 22nd-23rd: Capoeira Mandinga Rochester will be traveling to New York City to visit the Capoeira Angla Center of Mestre Joćo Grande. More details will be posted as they become available.

Public Market Artists' Row 

October 2nd: Will take place from 10:15am to 10:50am.  More details to come as they become available. 

The Memorial Art Gallery's Hispanic Heritage Famliy Day: One Language, Many Traditions

October 2nd: This event is open to the public and will run from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.  We will be giving a 15-minute presentation in the ballroom from 1:30pm to 1:45pm during the cultural display segment of the event. 

Family Days give children and adults an oppurtunity to learn about art and different cultures together in an educational environment.  The day will be filled with a variety of activities including art classes for children, guided tours of the Gallery, and music and dance performances.

Burning Barn Theatre: Romeo and Juliet

September 15th-18th and 22nd-25th: Burning Barn Theatre, in conjunction with Capoeira Mandinga Rochester is proud to present William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

The show will be performing at the New Life Presbyterian Church, located at 243 Rosedale Street (at the corner of Monroe Avenue).
